The 839 plan is one of the several unlimited packs Airtel has launched in India. In my perspective, this plan is better than the packs that provide 1 or 1.5GB daily data. Why is this so? Imagine you’ve recharged your Airtel prepaid number with 479 Rupees. The daily data offered by this plan is 1.5 GB.
To be honest, 1.5 gigabytes is not enough if you watch videos on YouTube or explore Facebook Watch, Instagram reels or download files or back up the files to an online cloud storage service daily. The daily quota will be exhausted by the evening or afternoon. If you’ve consumed 1.5GB data, you will have to purchase a data pack. If you’ve bought a longer validity 1.5 gigabyte daily data plan, you will have to buy the add-on data plan several times. To avoid this, it will be wise to choose the 839 Rs pack. Apart from more data, you will enjoy the following benefits if you go ahead and recharge your Airtel number with Rs 839.
Xstream play: Xstream is a media streaming service launched by Airtel. It initially used to stream some TV channels only. Now, the company has partnered with OTT services such as LionsGate, Sony LIV, etc to bring their content on the Xstream Play platform. If you have recharged your prepaid number with Rupees 839, the Xstream Play 3 months plan will be automatically activated. To use the same, you can either sign in to the Xstream website or mobile application with your Airtel prepaid phone number.
Disney + Hotstar mobile edition: After buying the Indian OTT service Hotstar, the Walt Disney Company updated the OTTs service’s media library with blockbuster movies such as Avengers Infinity War, Frozen, The Jungle Book, The Luca etc. It also added more than a dozen top rated shows to the library. Star group owns many channels including sports channels where you can see the latest cricket and football matches. The Airtel 839 plan unlocks the 149 Rupees Disney+ Hotstar subscription which has a validity of 3 months.
Unlimited 5G data: Airtel has rolled out 5G in some circles. Like Jio, it is offering unlimited 5G to the users who have consumed their day’s data. This offer will be automatically activated when you’ve used 2GB data. If you turn on the phone’s hotspot while 5G was active, this offer will be cancelled.
Apollo 24/7 circle: If you’re always looking for cashback or discounts on purchase of medicines and you’ve an Airtel SIM card, the 839 pack is for you as it offers Apollo’s premium 24/7 Circle membership for free. To use the Apollo service, you will have to sign in to the Apollo 24/7 website or application with your Airtel number. The website/app allows users to purchase all types of medicines online from the Apollo Pharmacy online store, book tests/hospital visits/doctor consultation, and more.
RewardsMini: This subscription is offered to the users of the Airtel Payments bank. It provides cashback of up to 80 Rs when you use recharge DTH, phone numbers, pay bills, etc from the Payments Bank section of the telecom operator’s Thanks mobile application.
Wynk Music: This is one of the oldest services offered by Airtel. It allows you to download songs and enjoy music in HD quality. Wynk is a good alternative to Spotify, Gaana, etc. Airtel has launched its two plans – free and premium. The former plan will be activated for your prepaid number.
Extra 2GB data: Although 2GB per day is sufficient, you will get free 2GB pack worth 28 Rs if the recharge of 839 Rs is done with the Airtel Thanks app. You will have to activate the add-on manually.
